Our custom reporting process

  1. Intake survey. We'll ask you about your objectives, your client requirements, KPIs, data sources and report cadence. 
  2.  Kickoff & roadmapping call. Together, we'll identify priority visualizations, content, comparisons and data tables. We'll plan out a 5 page custom, client-facing report template. (We'll also ask for details like brand colors and logos.)
  3. We connect your data to GDS or Google Sheets. To do this, we'll need access to your connectors (unless you already have an existing, connected report you'd like us to build from). If multiple sources are used, we'll blend or  build data staging tables before connecting.
  4. We build the first draft of your report. Once the data is connected, we get to work building out your visualizations and customizing your report. At this stage, it's common to find that the actual story of the data is better told through charts and comparisons we hadn't initially discussed. We'll revise as needed, and check in with you along the way to create the best possible version.
  5. Report delivery & review call. We'll send access to your report, and have one final check-in call over zoom to make sure the report meets your specifications and client requirements.
  6. Final report &  video delivery. We'll send you the link to your completed report, along with instructions for how to share it with your clients. You'll get a video that details each section to make sure you fully understand and can explain to clients. We'll also explain when updates might be necessary, and how to make them.

FAQs

What are the ongoing / monthly costs for this reporting?

Our report creation is a one-time fee (NOT a subscription!) Google Data Studio is also free (surprising, given the value and power of the platform).

You are responsible for the costs of any 3rd party connectors. 

What if I need more than a 5 page report?

Once we deliver the report, you control it. You can add more pages at any time that will perfectly match the theme of your template.
